The Fatboy Basketball League was started in 2020 after an overweight player didn’t get picked up in any  pick-games with the smaller guys. He had an idea to have open gym with only Fatboys (guys 250 lbs +). Over 100 guys showed up wanting to play so we figured it was a better idea to turn it into a league with weight loss and healthier lifestyles being the focus behind it all. After COVID-19 restrictions were lifted in 2022 the event was moved to a Community Center where we completed our first full season. It created an opportunity for other overweight players to try-out for one of our 6 teams and also become apart of the FBBL family! I am proud to say we are now going into our 5th season of  the league and still growing. currently we have 8 teams and 70+ players. We strive to be a family friendly event every Sunday with fatboy basketball games and entertainment including: live streaming, live hosts, DJs, halftime performances, give aways (to fans and the community) activities for kids and more! Support from your organization will help us continue to expand this league and find innovative ways to operate more efficiently.  We are anxiously looking forward to even greater success this season and can’t wait to see the FatBoy Basketball League reach its full potential.
